Please contact Peter Hart on 9665 9612 for further information Wednesday 10th December Olympic Park to Newington Leader: John Oakes Grade: Easy 8 km Saturday 13th December Spit to Manly A classic walk from the Spit bridge to Manly. Lunch at Dobroyd Head. Leader: Clinton Wong Grade: Easy ~10 km Saturday 20th December Heathcoate to Girronba Creek and return This walk is mainly on a friendly trail and a waterboard road. Return will follow the same route in reverse. . Leader: John Oakes Grade: Easy 10 km Saturday 27th December Engadine Circular walk Walk along Honeymoon Track and fire trails before return to Engadine and coffee at Gloria Jeans. Morning tea at Head of Navigation. Lunch at Audley (café if desired). Leader: Leonie Bell Grade: Medium ~12 km Saturday 3rd January Sutherland to Oatley A pleasant walk through suburbia and bushland to Oatley Park where we shall enjoy lunch. Afterwards we shall walk back to Sutherland and visit the Gloria Jeans café. Leader: John Hughes Grade: Easy 8 km Saturday 10th January Town Hall to Jubilee Park This walk will take us via Darling Harbour, Pyrmont, Fish markets and Glebe. Return by tram. Leader: John Oakes Grade: Easy 8 km Saturday 17th January Liloing on Erskine Creek Erskine creek is a lovely place to enjoy swimming and/or liloing during summer. We shall descend to the creek and then travel downstream on lilos for about 1.5km, after which we shall rejoin the main track via another route. Leader: Peter Hart Grade: Easy-Medium 5 km, 200m descent, 200m ascent Limit: 8 Wednesday 21st January Leichhardt to Birkenhead Point We will catch a bus to the walk starting point at Leichhardt. Leader: John Oakes Grade: Easy 10 km Friday 23rd January to Sunday 26th January Lake Tabourie – NSW south coast A lovely beach and coastal lagoon to enjoy. Planned activities include swimming, canoeing, beach walking and also some bush walks in nearby Murramurang national park. We shall also enjoy Saturday night dinner at a bistro in nearby Ulladulla or Batemans Bay. Two ensuite cabins have been booked at Lake Tabourie Tourist Park. The accommodation cost for the three days will be in the range $132 to $180 per person depending upon numbers. Members intending to come are requested to place a $50 deposit with the leader by 21st December. Leader: Peter Hart Limit: 10 Saturday 31st January Wollstonecraft to Milsons Point A pleasant amble through bush, parks and harbour foreshore. Points of interest include Berry Island, HMAS Water Hen, Balls Head, Lavender Bay and Luna Park. There will also be an opportunity to enjoy afternoon tea, coffee, etc at Milsons Point.
