My wife purchased this book for me Christmas 2002, it is a well researched and documented history of the huts. Unfortunately some have now gone but it's all there, a labour of love. When bushwalking in the High Country, this book made the difference. I knew the history and could sit round the fire, let my imagination run riot and enlighten others in the group, there was even a copy in Mawsons Hut.

Klaus latest book is Huts in the Victorian Alps RRP $44.95. Get them from your bushwalking shop or order online through most book stores. As a last resort obtain them direct from Klaus which my wife did. There are 15 all told now.
