HOW TO DOWNLOAD DOCUMENTS
The Club has a number of documents available for members and visitors to download. The links below will take you to a list of the files available in each category. Usually, you will just need to click once on the name of the file you want to download, and it will begin.
ADOBE READER
Most of the documents are Adobe Acrobat (PDF) files, and require the Adobe Reader to open them.
Most computers will already have Adobe Reader installed, so you will just be able to open the file. To check whether you have Adobe Reader, download a document from this site, then try to open it. If you see the document's contents, then you have Adobe Reader already installed.
If not, the Adobe Reader can be downloaded from Adobe's site:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
Once it has been downloaded, double-click the installer and follow the instructions. Note that the installer will download more files from Adobe's site, and this may take some time depending on your Internet speed.
FILE NAMING CONVENTIONS
Most file names to be downloaded are self-explanatory. However, you will see a number near the end of most of them. This represents the date the document was created. The format shows the year, the month and often the day of the month in that order. So 20050623 represents a document created on 23 June 2005, and 200506 means the June 2005 issue. This format is used so that the newest file will always be at the end of the list.
MEMBERSHIP AND OTHER FORMS
To apply for membership, you must complete a membership form and the risk waiver form. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must sign the membership form and fill in the Parental Risk Waiver form. To renew your membership, fill in the membership form only, provided a signed risk waiver form is already on file for you. Activity leaders can also get the Sign-on Sheet. Click here to see the forms available.
NEWSLETTERS
The Club publishes a newsletter approximately three times a year. It contains reports on trips and other articles about the Club's activities. Click here to see the newsletters available - the last one will be the most recent.
SAMPLE PROGRAMS
A program of activities is produced several times a year. Sample programs showing the range and timing of activities for different seasons can be downloaded from here. Contact the Secretary or the Club e-mail address for a copy of the current program.
POLICY DOCUMENTS AND GUIDELINES
From time to time, the Club adopts policies or provides guidelines to manage its activities. These include guidance on safety matters. These documents can be downloaded here.
