BGT is a unique world-wide organisation made up entirely of volunteers with no fee structure whatsoever. Unlike outdoors magazines, BGT runs no advertising and is therefore completely independent of advertising income. Gear is tested and reports filed on the BGT web site by real walkers who have actually used the gear. Many tests are of gear provided free by the manufacturers to BGT for testing; the testers get to keep the gear when the test period is over. Anyone can become a tester. |

A web site entirely devoted to the concept of ultra-lightweight walking. In addition to in-depth articles on all aspects of lightweight gear, the site also sells selected ultra-lightweight equipment. Access to some articles requires a subscription. Some readers and authors are a little 'enthusiastic' about reducing their pack weight. |
