The following are available to walk leaders for no charge:
•2 GPSs (Global Positioning Systems, Garmin GPS 12) - DBC policy is that they should normally be used only for emergencies and not for routine navigation.
• An EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon) with a leaflet explaining its functionality.
DBC members wishing to hire items for private purposes can do so (subject to availability) for a small charge.
Also available are:
• Several books about bushwalking, leadership and survival
• Topographic maps - at 1 to 250,000 scale , 1 to 100,000 scale , and 1 to 50,000 scale listed by map number, map name or map area.
• Backpack (good condition Macpac Esprit, size W).
