About The Club Meetings usually feature a guest speaker presenting an interesting topic of relevance to bushwalkers. Past presentations include talks on volcanoes, walking the Cape, snakes (with live exhibits), trekking in Tasmania and many others. Details of upcoming walks and other social events can be found by attending the meeting (which are generally held at 5:30 PM on the last Friday of each month in Sunshine House, on the corner of Kemp & Hockey St's), by phone, post or by email. The fortnightly events include day walks, car camping, overnight backpacking, cycling, canoeing and other social events. These outdoor events offer members the opportunity to experience the bush, to see animals and birds in their natural environment, to enjoy the great outdoors, and to meet new friends with similar interests. Responsible and ethical bushwalking is promoted. Click here for the walks program. |

The various levels of walks aim to suit people of different fitness levels, however some degree of physical fitness is required. All walks are graded so that participants can get an idea of the distance to be covered, the type of terrain which will be traversed, and the general level of fitness which will be required. |

The club's magazine "The Walker" has detailed lists of upcoming walks, reports on past walks, photos, information and more. The Clarence Valley Bushwalkers Club is a member of the Confederation of Bushwalking Clubs of New South Wales.
